Hardware

We build the sensors and the network, so nobody can point at anybody else.

Two devices, one job: get a trustworthy temperature out of a metal box and into your hands within seconds. Sensitii Tags measure. Sensitii Core carries. Neither is a rebadged part we bought from a catalogue, which is why we can change what a Tag measures when your process needs something different.

LoRaWAN temperature sensors

Sensitii Tags

Wireless, battery-powered probes that live inside your cold and hot storage and report continuously to Sensitii Core. They mount without drilling, wiring, or any modification to your refrigeration — nothing about your equipment or your warranty changes.

Mounting & placement

  • Non-invasive mounts — no drilling into the box, no holes, no sealant
  • No wiring into the refrigeration unit, so no effect on equipment warranty
  • Placed at the point that matters — product level, not the door-mounted dial
  • Relocatable: move a Tag to a different unit and re-assign it in the dashboard

Specifications

Two probe options. One is almost always the right one.

Precision is what goes into a restaurant. Extended Range exists for processes that live outside what a standard probe can survive — and because we build the hardware, asking for it is a conversation rather than a roadmap request.

Standard fit

What we install in almost every kitchen.

Tight accuracy across the full range a food service operation actually uses — deep freeze through hot holding and dish return heat. Drift is low enough that a Tag installed today is still telling you the truth about your walk-in years from now.

Operating range
−40 °C to 85 °C(−40 °F to 185 °F)
Accuracy tolerance
Typical ±0.3 °C
Resolution
0.01 °C
Long-term drift
< 0.02 °C per year
Battery life

Radio
LoRaWAN, sub-GHz (US915)

Best for

  • Walk-in coolers and freezers
  • Reach-ins, prep tables, and line rails
  • Hot holding and proofing
  • Dry storage and ambient rooms

Ask us to integrate

For processes that run past what a standard probe can survive.

When your process runs colder than a freezer or hotter than a hot-hold — blast chilling, cook-chill, ovens, warewash, cold-chain staging — we integrate an extended-range probe instead. Because we build the hardware, this is a conversation, not a feature request that waits on a vendor.

Operating range
−55 °C to 125 °C(−67 °F to 257 °F)
Accuracy tolerance
±0.5 °C(over −10 °C to 85 °C; ±2.0 °C across the full −55 °C to 125 °C range)
Resolution
0.0625 °C
Battery life
10 years
Radio
LoRaWAN, sub-GHz (US915)

Best for

  • Blast chill and cook-chill
  • Ovens, holding cabinets, and warewash
  • Cold-chain staging and receiving
  • Any process outside a standard probe's range

Need something we have not listed — humidity, door state, a different range, a probe shape that fits your equipment? Ask. Owning the hardware is the reason that question has an answer.

10 yr

You will never chase a battery.

Tags are rated for a 10-year battery life, and battery level is part of the device health we watch on your account. When a Tag needs service, we reach out to you and handle it. There is no maintenance calendar for you to keep and no dead sensor quietly logging nothing.

LoRaWAN gateway

Sensitii Core

One gateway is the whole network. Core listens for every Tag in the building and forwards their readings to the Sensitii platform — over Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or LTE, whichever is standing.

Range that survives a commercial kitchen

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth sensors die in the exact places you need them — inside an insulated metal box, behind a compressor, at the back of a basement dry store. LoRaWAN's sub-GHz radio was built for range and penetration, not bandwidth, which is precisely the trade a temperature reading wants.

Three ways out of the building

Core backhauls over Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or LTE. If your ISP goes down mid-service, monitoring does not go down with it — and neither does your compliance record.

No gaps in the record

If the connection drops entirely, Core holds readings locally and backfills them when it returns. Your HACCP log has no blank hours to explain.

Nothing on your POS network

Core is a single, isolated device with one job. Tags never touch your network at all — they only ever speak to Core.

Install

An appointment, not a shipment.

Hardware is included in your subscription. There is no upfront capital cost for gateways or sensors, and if a Tag fails we replace it.

  1. 01

    We walk your kitchen

Free, on-site. We look at every unit that holds product — walk-ins, reach-ins, freezers, line rails, hot holds, dry store — and tell you which ones are worth monitoring and which are not.

  2. 02

We install, in under an hour

Tags go in, Core goes up, every unit is confirmed reporting live before we leave. Nothing is drilled and nothing is wired into your refrigeration.

  3. 03

We set your thresholds with you

Your ranges, your units, your escalation list. We add your GM, your kitchen manager, and anyone else who should get the text — with their own SMS and email preferences.

  4. 04

It runs, and we watch it with you

Device health, battery level, and gateway connectivity are monitored on our side. If a Tag stops reporting or a battery is nearing end of life, we contact you.

Hardware walkthrough

Bring us to your walk-in.

We will show you the actual Tags and the actual gateway, put one in your cooler, and let you watch the reading appear on your own phone. Thirty minutes, no obligation.
